Elemente Blau + Time Machine
video, 24kg of plasticine, 4 weeks of time
Fleischer e.V., Halle Saale Germany 2020
Biggest challenge here was to let go.
First weeks of this installation i insisted on not having the installation
title and my name printed. it had to be done at some point for funding reasons.
anyway. the idea was to create a suprise. i thought how cool it‘d be if you
live in that neighborhood, you‘ve seen that kiosk many times.
And then all of a sudden 24 kg of blue plasticine. I‘d find that cool.
I like surprises. No explanation. No context.
What happend was that people really made it their own.
Engraved their own messages. Took of plasticine and relocated it.
Blue was alive. At first it was hard to let go and to not have any influence on it.
An experiment in line with other experiments like the dark chamber paintings.
Trying to get away from wishes, from hopes, from desires, from design, from composition.
Trying to get away from an idea you wish to create.
These things always keep you distracted from the one moment we share.
